IDA BALKANS is the accredited and authorized entity for the exclusive management and organization of the various programs of the Italian Diplomatic Academy in Serbia and the Balkan region.

To ensure optimal and autonomous management of activities, IDA Balkans has its own office, team, and committees. Activities are implemented under the direct supervision of the entities responsible for the projects.

The Italian Diplomatic Academy is an international institution recognized as one of the most prestigious training and research centers in Italy. It is formally affiliated with the United Nations Department of Global Communications, with a role in promoting and raising awareness of the activities and programs of the UN, primarily aimed at the academic world and civil society. To facilitate this process, the United Nations has granted the Academy accreditation for its representatives at the UN Headquarters in New York. Additionally, the Academy is an official member of the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) in New York, a global initiative promoted by the United Nations and aimed at higher education institutions, encouraging active support of ten universal principles in the areas of human rights, literacy, sustainable development, and the peaceful resolution of conflicts. By formally adhering to these principles, the Academy is committed to promoting education as a driving force for solving global problems.

In recognition of the quality of its programs, the institution has received a “Large Format Medal” from the President of the Republic and a “Medal of Recognition” from the President of the Chamber of the Italian Parliament.
